![]() ![]() I opened it with GIMP and zooming in just makes the text more pixelated. I suspect in Libre Draw if you select the text and change the font it would look OK then? PDFSAM MIRROR PAGE PDFJust for kicks, increase the resolution in GIMP to 300 dpi to see if that changes anything.Ĭan you supply a sample PDF that we can experiment with? I would like to see what happens when I open it in Okular and the other programs you mention. I have opened quite a few PDF's with GIMP and have not seen this problem. PDFSAM MIRROR PAGE HOW TOMy question boils down to: Is the font rendering issue system based, application based or Verizon's PDF encoding? Is there a font that I need to install for Xreader, Evince, Gimp and Draw to know how to render the documents? I did some searching and I found some threads here and on an Arch forum that may be relevant, but I am not enough of a newb to feel confident just blindly installing fonts and running commands in hope and desperation. And before I started installing random PDF viewers I figure that this has to be solvable at the system level. I also installed MuPDF which renders the fonts correctly, but that application is feature poor. I tested a few other PDFs with the same programs and did not get the odd variation of displayed font. With LibreOffice Draw it picks "Arial" and displays it in "Outline". Printed from a web browser, it comes out fine. If I print from those programs the printed page is just as blurry as the displayed PDF. If I open the same PDF with Xreader, Evince or GIMP the font is blurred to the edge of unreadable. When I open the PDF in my browser (Vivaldi or Firefox) the browser's internal PDF viewer renders the fonts legibly.
